What the terms of use cover
These terms of use govern the reader's use of iplfantasyteam.com. The terms apply to the content the desk publishes, the contact form the desk accepts and the way the reader may quote or link to the desk's pages. The terms do not govern the reader's relationship with any fantasy platform; that relationship is governed by the platform's own terms. The terms below are written in plain language. Where a term is technical, the term is explained where it first appears.
The terms are most useful when they are read before the rest of the site is read. A reader who knows the rules of using the desk is the reader who can use the desk well. The terms are not negotiable; the desk does not enter into individual agreements with readers. Where the reader disagrees with a term, the reader's option is to stop using the desk. The terms are not designed to trap the reader; they are designed to make the rules visible.
Use of the desk's content
The desk's content is published for the reader's general information. The reader may read the content, quote short excerpts with attribution and link to the content. The reader may not republish whole articles, scrape the content for a competing editorial product, present the content as the reader's own work or use the content in a way that suggests the reader is the desk. The reader who wants to reuse a longer excerpt is welcome to ask through the contact page; the desk usually replies.
Where the desk publishes a correction, the reader should treat the correction as the current version of the page and the older wording as part of the page's history. A reader who quotes the older wording in a context that requires the current version has misread the page. The desk's timestamp at the top of the body is the desk's record of the most recent material change; the reader who quotes with the timestamp has done the most useful attribution.
No warranty about editorial fitness for purpose
The desk's content is published "as is". The desk does not warrant that the content is fit for a particular purpose, that the content is current at the time the reader reads it or that the content is comprehensive. Where a desk page is read after a change on the platform or after a change in the law, the page may be incomplete. The desk's exposure is limited to correcting the page and acknowledging the change; the desk does not accept liability for decisions made on the basis of an earlier version.
A reader who treats desk content as the sole basis for a financial or legal decision has misread the desk. The reader who treats desk content as one input among several — the platform's own rules, the player's recent form, the matchup, the pitch, the weather, the local law — is reading the page as intended. The desk's role is editorial; the desk does not take responsibility for the reader's downstream decisions.

Third-party platforms, links and embedded content
Where the desk links to a third-party site, the link is editorial context, not an endorsement, partnership or sponsorship. The desk does not control the third-party site and is not responsible for the third party's content, terms, privacy practices or product. A reader who follows a link to a third-party site does so under the third party's terms, not under these terms.
Where the desk embeds a third-party asset (such as a font file from a font provider), the third party may set its own cookies or collect its own data under its own privacy notice. The desk tries to use first-party assets where possible; where a third-party asset is used, the desk tries to use a provider that respects reader privacy. A reader who wants to know more about a specific third party's practices can read that third party's own notice.
User-submitted content and the desk's use of it
Where the reader submits a correction, a source note, a tip or a methodology question through the contact page, the submission is the reader's own view unless the desk has independently verified it. The desk may publish a correction based on the submission; the desk credits the reader only where the reader has asked to be credited. The desk's editorial copy belongs to the desk; the submission is the reader's contribution, not the reader's ownership of the resulting copy.
The desk does not accept attachments that contain identity documents, banking details or passwords, even when the attachment is offered in good faith. The desk's storage is not designed for sensitive personal data, and the desk would rather not hold it. A reader who wants to share a sensitive document is asked to summarise the relevant detail in plain text and to keep the original with the platform's data-protection officer.
| Use | Permitted | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Reading | Permitted for general information. | Permitted with attribution. |
| Short quotation | Permitted with attribution. | Permitted; longer excerpts need the desk's agreement. |
| Linking | Permitted. | Permitted; deep links are also fine. |
| Republishing whole articles | Not permitted without the desk's agreement. | Ask through the contact page first. |
| Scraping for a competing product | Not permitted. | Not permitted under any circumstances. |
Liability and the desk's exposure
The desk's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. The desk is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental or special damages arising from the reader's use of the site. The desk is not liable for losses arising from a reader's reliance on desk content in a context the desk did not intend the content for. The desk is liable for correcting the page when a material error is reported through the contact page.
Where a third-party platform causes the reader a loss, the reader's recourse is against the platform under the platform's own terms, not against the desk. The desk's editorial coverage of a platform is not a guarantee of the platform's conduct. A reader who has lost money on a platform and seeks redress through the desk is being directed to the wrong channel; the platform's customer-care and grievance channels are the appropriate first steps.
Changes to the terms and how they are published
The desk may revise the terms from time to time. A revised version is published on this page with an updated effective date. The reader who continues to use the site after a revised version is published is treated as having accepted the revised version. The desk does not email readers individually when the terms change; the reader's responsibility is to check the terms page when the reader has a question.
Where a revision is material, the desk tries to mark the revision on the page. A material revision is a revision that affects the reader's use of the site in a way the reader should know about. The desk's standing position is that a non-material revision (a clarification, a typo fix, a paragraph reorder) does not need a flag; a material revision (a new restriction, a new right, a new commitment) does. The reader who reads the page after a revision has done the most useful thing the desk can support.

Governing law and where disputes are heard
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's registered location. Disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at that location. The desk does not enter into individual agreements with readers and does not accept jurisdiction in any other location. Where the reader is in a different jurisdiction, the reader's local consumer-protection rules may still apply in addition to these terms.
Where the reader has a complaint that the desk cannot resolve through the contact page, the reader can escalate to the relevant consumer forum, the relevant data-protection authority or the appropriate regulator for the kind of complaint. The desk's terms do not remove any statutory right the reader has under the reader's local law; the terms are designed to fit alongside local consumer-protection rules, not to override them.
Termination and the desk's right to update
The reader may stop using the site at any time. The desk may revise, suspend or remove any page on the site at any time. The desk's editorial decisions are the desk's; the desk does not consult readers on individual decisions. Where a page is removed, the desk may publish a redirect to a related page where appropriate; the desk does not commit to preserving every URL forever. The reader's permanent record of a desk page is the reader's own screenshot or archive copy.
Where the desk is updated, the reader's accumulated relationship with the site does not survive as an enforceable right. A reader who has read the desk for years has read the desk, not entered a contract. The desk values that history and tries to honour it through editorial consistency, not through contractual commitments. The editorial consistency is the part of the desk the reader can rely on; the contractual commitment is the part the desk cannot extend beyond these terms.
